A flowmeter is a measuring instrument that measures the amount of liquid, gas, steam, powder, or a mixture of these substances flowing through a pipe or ditch. Various measurement methods are available depending on the purpose of measurement, the type and condition of the fluid, and the measurement conditions such as the measurement location. We offer Coriolis, electromagnetic, vortex, and variable area flowmeters.
Coriolis Mass Flow and Density Meters
The Coriolis type measurement principle applies the law that the Coriolis force generated when a fluid flows through a measuring tube (U-tube) is proportional to the mass flow rate through that tube. Our Coriolis mass flowmeters are characterized by their wide lineup and high accuracy over a wide range of flow rates. This multivariable flowmeter can simultaneously measure not only mass flow but also density and temperature, and can also be used as a volumetric flowmeter and concentration meter. No straight pipe length is required in front of or behind the flowmeter for installation.

Magnetic Flowmeters
The principle of electromagnetic measurement is based on Faraday’s law of electromagnetic induction, in which an electromotive force is generated in proportion to the flow velocity when a conductive fluid crosses a magnetic field. Our electromagnetic flowmeter has no pressure drop and can measure a wide variety of liquids. Various lining materials (PFA, PTFE, ceramics, polyurethane rubber, natural soft rubber, natural hard rubber) and our unique dual frequency excitation method ensure stable flow measurement even with corrosive or slurry fluids. The bore size ranges from 2.5 mm to 1800 mm. The capacitive electromagnetic flowmeter is suitable for measuring low conductivity and high concentration slurry fluids.

Vortex Flowmeters
The measuring principle of vortex type is that the frequency of the Karman vortex generated behind a columnar object in the flow is proportional to the flow velocity. Liquid, gas, and steam can be measured. Compared to throttle flowmeters, our vortex flowmeters have a simple structure, wide rangeability, and cost advantages. Our vortex flowmeters have a unique sensing structure that integrates a vortex shedder bar and vortex sensing sensor, and our proprietary signal processing technology, which enables stable flow measurement over a long period of time from high-temperature fluid to cryogenic fluids. The reducer type with integrated reducer (shrinking and expanding tubes) is suitable for lines with large seasonal flow fluctuations, such as steam supply lines. The multivariable type with a temperature sensor built into the vortex shedder bar is also suitable for steam measurement.

Variable Area Flowmeters
The measurement principle of the variable area type is that the position of the float in the tapered tube is proportional to the flow rate. This simple measurement format has a long history as a field indicator. Our ROTAMETER has become synonymous with variable area type flowmeters. Available in glass and metal tubes, it can measure a wide range of fluids from gases to corrosive liquids.

Rotameter – Variable Area Flowmeter
The Variable Area Flowmeter is one of the oldest and mature principles in flow measurement with its simple design: a float rises inside a conically shaped glass tube as the flow increases and its position on a scale can be read off as the flow rate. Since this measuring method is purely mechanic, it as simple as it is reliable.
