Indirect Diesel Heater

We are trusted suppliers and exporters of high-quality indirect diesel heaters in the UK. Our heaters provide efficient, safe, and reliable heating solutions for various applications including vehicles, workshops, warehouses, and marine environments. Designed for durability and fuel efficiency, our indirect diesel heaters ensure clean heat without direct fuel combustion.
  1. Combustion: Diesel is burned in a sealed combustion chamber, creating a flame.
  2. Heat exchange: The flame heats a heat exchanger, a separate chamber that air passes over but does not enter.
  3. Clean air distribution: A fan draws fresh air and blows it over the hot heat exchanger. This clean air is heated and then pushed through the front of the unit.
  4. Exhaust expulsion: The harmful exhaust gases from the combustion process, such as carbon monoxide, are expelled outside through a chimney or flue.
  5. Ducting: Flexible ducting can be attached to the heater’s outlet to direct the clean warm air into the area that needs heating.
Key differences between direct and indirect heaters
Feature  Indirect Diesel Heater Direct Diesel Heater
Air quality Produces clean, dry, and fume-free air by venting exhaust outdoors via a flue. Mixes combustion by-products (including carbon monoxide and moisture) with the heated air.
Safety Safer for indoor use, as occupants are not exposed to fumes. Only safe for outdoor or very well-ventilated areas where fumes can disperse.
Efficiency Generally less efficient, as some heat escapes through the flue. Nearly 100% fuel-to-heat efficiency since the exhaust is not vented.
Cost Higher initial purchase and operational cost due to more complex design. Lower initial purchase and operational cost.
Application Ideal for enclosed spaces, occupied areas, and sensitive materials. Suitable for open spaces like outdoor construction sites, or in well-ventilated garages.
